The #1 awning complaint — canvas sagging and dumping water on camp — is a poles problem, not a product problem. Three telescopic support poles are in this box. Other brands charge $80–120 extra. Use them every setup and pooling doesn't exist.
Side
RTT Access Hole

The #1 complaint about 270° awnings in Australia is canvas sagging in rain and dumping water on camp. Three telescopic support poles are in this box from day one — the thing other brands charge $80–120 extra for. Pre-sewn tensioning straps. Slight roof pitch. The pooling problem is engineered out, not charged in.

6 double A-frame welded arms. LED on every arm. 9-bolt hinge. 24-month warranty from NSW.

Support poles in the box. Pre-sewn tensioning straps in the box. The setup that stops pooling and flapping is complete — nothing left to add.
Support poles included 24-month warranty — NSW 30-day returns
3× Telescopic Support Poles — In the Box, Not Optional

Other brands charge $80–120 extra for these. Ours are standard equipment. Put the poles up every time and pooling simply doesn't exist. Rain hits the canvas and runs off the sides. The complaint you've read in every review — canvas sagging, water dumping on camp — is a setup problem, not a product problem. The poles are the solution. They're already in your box.

Pre-Sewn Tensioning Straps — Canvas Stays Taut in Wind

Pull the canvas taut, clip the straps. Coastal gusts don't move it. Stitched into the canvas — not added as an afterthought. The awning that flaps in wind is the one without tensioning straps. This one has them.

Welded Arm Joints — Not Riveted

Riveted joints work loose on corrugations. It's not a maybe — it's a when. Ours are welded at the backplate. 10,000km of dirt road later, the arm is still solid. The rattle you're used to hearing from other setups doesn't happen here.

320GSM Hexagon Ripstop — Blackout Underside

Blackout coating on the underside cuts radiant heat significantly — noticeably cooler in the Top End midday. 320GSM ripstop poly-cotton doesn't tear on a snagged branch or a bad guy-line tension. Same canvas weight as every awning in our range.

LED on Every Arm — Amber + White, Dimmable

The LED wraps the entire coverage arc with you. Amber for camp atmosphere, white for cooking and gear setup. USB-powered, pre-wired on every arm. Whole camp is lit. No extension leads, no lantern on a hook.

9-Bolt Hinge — Not the Standard 6

The hinge is the first failure point on any awning. More bolts means more clamping force, better load distribution across the mount. Nine bolts instead of six is an engineering choice, not a marketing claim. Patented design.

Which Variant Do You Need?

Passenger LHS with RTT access hole RTT owners who camp in rain or cold. Move between your rooftop tent and the awning space without climbing down. The opening aligns with the tent entrance. Invaluable at 6am in the wet season.
Passenger LHS without access hole Full canvas coverage on the passenger side — no opening means better wind seal. Choose this if you don't have an RTT or prefer maximum enclosure.
Driver RHS When you want shade on the driver's side. No access hole available on RHS. Popular for dual-awning setups — 270° XL passenger + 180° driver for full vehicle coverage.

Questions We Actually Get

How wind-resistant is it without the support poles?

In calm conditions, fine. In anything above a light breeze, put the poles up — that's what they're for. Five minutes at setup and you won't think about wind again. The poles are in the box. Use them every time.

Will it pair with the Room Kit?

Yes — the 270° XL Room Kit fits this awning specifically. Adds enclosed walls, zip door, and mesh ventilation for $362. Transforms the setup from shade to a full room.

Does it mount to any roof rack?

Mounts to any rack with a track or T-slot system. Height-adjustable brackets clear most RTTs. Contact us with your vehicle and rack type if unsure — we'll confirm before you order.

270° vs 270° XL — which one?

The XL has 6 arms and greater coverage span — right for larger vehicles and longer stays. The standard 270° has 4 arms, slightly more compact packed. Both have identical canvas spec, poles, and hardware.

24-Month Warranty — Backed in NSW

Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply on top. Canvas, hardware, structural faults — covered. Contact us directly in Grafton NSW. Not a third party. Not an overseas email chain. We sort it.
