Pick your spot — flat ground, good drainage
Avoid low spots where water pools. Slight downhill slope helps drain water away from the base. Orient the door downwind so it doesn't flap open mid-shower.

Open and stake — 60 seconds
Unfold the tent, extend the frame, stake all four corners. In any wind at all — run all four guy ropes too. A shower tent is a sail. Staked takes 90 seconds total and means you're not chasing it across camp.

Connect your shower system
Solar bag: hang on the internal hook. 12V pump or external shower: feed hose through the rear port. Close the port around the hose for a clean seal. No adaptor needed for standard fittings.

Pack down — rinse, dry, fold
After use, leave the door open to air out before packing. Store dry — mildew is the only real enemy of a shower tent. Pack away in the carry bag, back in the rig, done.

Does a shower system come with it?
No — the tent works with whatever system you already have or plan to add. Solar shower bag, 12V pump kit, gravity system, vehicle external shower — all compatible via the rear hose port. If you need a shower system, a 10–20L solar bag is the simplest starting point and costs $20–40.
Can I actually stand up in it?
Yes — 210cm+ internal height. Most Australian adults can stand upright, raise their arms, and wash hair without crouching. This is the #1 spec to check on any shower tent. Anything under 200cm gets complaints.
Does water pool inside?
Not if you use the floor correctly. The mesh perimeter drain lets water exit around the edges. Place the tent on flat or slightly sloped ground with drainage. Avoid setting up in a depression where water collects. The solid centre section of the floor keeps your feet out of the drain zone.
How do I stop it blowing over?
Stake every corner, every time. In any wind — even what feels like a light breeze — run the guy ropes too. A shower tent presents the same wind profile as a small sail. Stakes alone hold in still conditions. Stakes + guy ropes hold in real wind. Don't leave it up unattended without both.
Will it get mouldy?
Only if you store it wet. After every use, leave it open to air dry before packing. Even 20 minutes open in the sun is enough. Never pack it away damp and leave it in the bag for a week. The mesh roof vent and side windows help it dry quickly.
Does it work as a toilet tent too?
Yes — fits any standard camping portable toilet. The drain floor isn't needed for toilet use so lay a mat over it if preferred. Zip-up door seals fully. Most touring couples use it for both shower and toilet over a multi-week trip.
